My Macbook Is Better Than Yours

Slipping further into the "poor college student" stereotype, I finally have something to show for it. I love you, macbook pro. I want to spoon you, macbook pro.

For future reference, if any of you have a miscommunication problem (as in, having your student loans canceled) over scholarships vs. investments between the financial aid departments at your university of choice, be sure to ask me what to do. I'm becoming an expert with handling situations that are handled once every 50 years. This is so stupid.

It is almost August which means Tucson for a week! I was slightly apprehensive about planning a trip to the desert during the
meltiest of months but since the weather here has been terribly inconsiderate (105 F?!!!), I'm starting to become less concerned about it. In fact, the only worry I have on my plate is getting the jesus action figure from Colin to take with me on my trip.

The "Jesus is Everywhere" photo project has begun.

(Not) Better Than Worse

Earlier this evening, I plugged my ipod into my laptop (like I have for the past two years), got up and walked away for a bit. When I came back, the most ungodly thing had happened: itunes clean-sweeped my entire ipod and replaced it with the measly contents of my itunes music library. I am pissed.

Just a few minutes ago, I was partaking in my mindless, late-night internet browsing and I came across Owen Pallett's tour dates. I danced in my chair when I saw that he was going to be in Portland August 10th but I quickly realized that the venue he's playing at is a bar. Fuck me being under 21!

First my ipod? Now Mr. Pallett?

My heart is on the floor.

IntroDUCKtion, or, I'm-glad-it's-over-with-tion

Colin and I have been putting up with an overload of cheese and information on the UO campus the past two days. I'm sad to say that the girl who drove me nuts with her AP-credit gloating is a journalism major which meant that she was in the same group I was. I spent most of my time wanting to punt her across the room.

But it's over with, so no need to complain. However, I would like to point out that even though I didn't have a Sabrina-esque Quest, I am slowly learning my way around campus. (Neener, neener, neener.)

For those of you who have been around from day one of me getting my glasses, I'm sure you all remember the difficulties I had with getting the lenses to stay in. I'm (sort of) happy to report that my glasses are broken for good this time. The only downfall is having insurance that only covers eye related stuff once every two years so that means the moolah's out of my own pocket. Damnit!

Here is a mini-preview of some photos I'll be uploading to my flickr and myspace later this evening. It's a must see, for sure!

Grills, grills, grills

It's been awhile, I know, but it's not like I haven't thought about updating. It's pretty amazing how I can coerce myself to not update blogger, and continue being a sloth around the house.

Alright, that's not entirely true. There are moments where I move, believe it or not, and they usually involve spending time with Nick and Colin. Speaking of which, last night we started working on our podcast for Turbojesus. While a majority of it is gutter-minded boy humor, there are some random ramblings that really crack me up, listening to them now. I'll keep you posted! (As though you're really that interested..)

But for the meantime, enjoy the following video of our awkward moments at the Mongolian Grill.
