GradJEWation

I have to admit that I'm finding myself becoming more and more antsy with the thought of not having anything to do as the chaos winds down. Therefore, a job hunt is in store for next week.

With that out of the way, graduation was a lot more fun than I had anticipated. I take pride in the fact that when I look back to graduation, I'll think of our shitty class song "Come Sail Away." Thinking of our class song will lead my thoughts to our class prank. Ah yes, the sweet, sweet melodies of Cartman's out-of-tune voice did indeed serenade us as we formed the cheesy horseshoe and tossed our caps into the air
.
The after party that my parents held was insanely overwhelming. There were nearly 40 people stuffed into our house and every single one of them felt obligated to tearfully choke out personalized congratulation schpiels. I wasn't there for too long, since Great Grad Night was in store.

You know, I'm not trying to be hostile about it, but for $70.00, I really feel like us seniors got the shaft. And for having the entire year to plan this super-secret, supposedly "stellar" event, the parent's didn't really impress me much. Driving to Portland to play video games for 8 hours? I would've had more fun watching Roseanne while eating my mom's rumacki (this is sarcasm, folks.)

But all in all, I'm really thankful I decided to go afterall. It resulted in late night chats with my friends. I think the highlight of it all was when Nick and I had a conversation with a lady that worked at the arcade about whether she enjoyed Paris Hilton's porno or not.

Nick: "You know, I went into Castle and looked at the back of the dvd and... Get this... They showed photos of all the positions she was in! It totally ruined the plot for me."

Aside from Great Grad Stuff, I really lucked out with the graduation gifts. HP photo printer? Check. Gift certificate for girly stuff? Woo-boy, check! $1,400? CHECK! And a plane ticket to Tucson. I am more than down.

I felt pretty cheated by grad night too, not because it was horrible, but because I think we could have done that on our own and spent less . . . . just a thought.

By the way though, I have some pretty good grad pics to share with you, if I can ever get them to work. I wish I could have found everyone for the big group one . .
